Haithem joined ARI in October 2013, from Standard Chartered Bank (Middle East), where he was the head of Financials Institutional Group, strategic client coverage covering MENA & Turkey. Prior to that, he was a Senior Director and Head of FIG Advisory at HSBC Bank Middle East. During his career of over 10 year at HSBC, Haithem served various roles in the coverage and advisory Investment Banking Division. Haithem has over 16 years of regional investment banking experience and has executed in excess of 60 transactions, totaling USD 25bn in value. Haithem has advised Governments and Corporates on IPOs, M&A, Debt Capital Markets, Funding, etc, regionally and internationally.
Haithem has a B.S. in Business with concentration in finance & accounting and a Master degree in Business Administration from Lebanese American University.
Abdulaziz Al Muftah

Abdulaziz has more than 7 years of investment banking experience at a senior managerial level. He also has over twenty years of experience in the region in telecom, IT and oil & gas. Abdulaziz has managed a number of multi-discipline engineering projects for various asset-owners and end-users. Abdulaziz holds a Master degree of Philosophy from University of Wales.

Akber has more than 18 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Al Rayan Investment, Akber spent over 11 years at Deutsche Bank in London where he initially traded UK equities. He held senior research positions in European and Emerging Markets and latterly was Chief Equity Strategist for Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. In 2012, 2013 and 214 he was in MENA Fund Manager Magazine’s ‘Power 50’ list of the “most influential, innovative and powerful figures in the regional industry”. Akber is regularly featured in global financial media and is invited to speak at industry conferences. He has lived in Doha, Dubai, Frankfurt, Karachi and London.
Akber graduated from University College London, UK after majoring in Economics & History.
